International Montessori House of Children Health and Safety

Here at the International Montessori House of Children, we understand that entrusting your children to the care of others is a serious decision and one that parents do not take lightly. We strive to ensure our families feel that their children are safe and loved in our care.

We regularly and systematically clean and sanitize our outdoor play areas and classrooms. Since Covid-19, we have increased our cleaning routines to more thoroughly disinfect and wipe down all areas using child-safe cleaning supplies.

We screen for temperatures and check for symptoms of staff and students individually before they enter the building. All staff and teachers wear face masks on campus. If your child has become accustomed to wearing a face mask, feel free to send them along. Student masks are not required.

Inside our classrooms, we have established new routines to help keep our students safe. From additional outdoor play and staggered recess times to individual student supply bags and snacks, we are taking a number of proactive steps to provide a healthy learning environment.

The health and well-being of our community, students, and staff is our top priority and we are committed to supporting our school community and central Austin throughout this period.

Thank you for partnering with us to help ensure the safety of each child and adult at IMHoC, as well as the community beyond. Together, we can work to create the safest and healthiest environment possible for our students, families, and staff. At IMHoC we will develop our resilience and make this a beautiful experience based on solidarity, compassion, patience, and support, despite the challenges.
